Job Description


General Dynamics Information Technology desires to hire a Scrum Master to support the NASA Shared Services Center located at John C. Stennis Space Center, MS. As a Scrum Master you will support IT development for the various functional services supporting NASAs Human Resources, Financial Management, Procurement, Enterprise Services, Strategic Integration and Communications, Budget and Accounting, and Information Resources. You will have the opportunity to prefect and develop your Scrum Master experience by ensuring Scrum is understood and best practices are implemented across the functional area scrum teams to ensure productivity is achieved.


The responsibilities for candidates in this role include the following:

  • Lead and facilitate the Scrum Process
  • Act as Change Agent for the organization
  • Coordinate Product Owners and Scrum Team activities
  • Remove Scrum Team impediments
  • Coach Scrum Practices
  • Protect and guide team
  • Lead Release Planning, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective meetings
  • Updates release progress weekly
  • Help Product Owners create the prioritized Product Backlog
  • Facilitate presentation of completed Scrum Team deliverables for Product Owner approval
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel
  • Identify risks and help develop mitigation plans
  • Advocate for the Scrum Team


To qualify, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Highly knowledgeable about the Agile Scrum Process
  • Experienced with the Scrum Master role
  • Strong leadership, communications, and facilitation skills
  • Energetic, organized, and focused
  • Collaborative and team-oriented
  • Strong sense of responsibility
  • Results-oriented
  • Committed to team success
  • Takes the initiative to foster progress
  • Good at helping others understand the Scrum Process

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years relevant experience
  • Experience with ServiceNow (desirable)
  • Scrum Master Certification
