Job Description

Core hours 0700-1500.  Forklift certification required prior to start.  Packers/craters receive no training or access to sponsor system, nor is it required in the course of the work.  Packer/crater performs all established packing steps for a wide variety and high volume of standard, routine materials, such as electronic and computer equipment, construction material, administrative supplies, and medical items; to include, measuring boxes, weighing, cubing, banding, burlaping, and filling with insta-pak or other types of packing material as appropriate.  Assists with the measuring and cutting of wood and assembly of the entire crate used for packing non-standard items such as vault doors, small generators, communications equipment, vehicles of varying types and sizes, etc.  Packer/crater personnel will not have access to sponsor database system, nor is it required in the course of work.  Candidate may be required to complete HAZMAT training during operations.  Existing knowledge of HAZMAT regulations prior to deployment is preferable.  Packer/crater performs routine, standard maintenance on machinery on an as needed basis, such as oiling, cleaning and filter changes.  Assist team with maintaining equipment by performing daily maintenance and cleaning procedures outlined by sponsor on large machinery to ensure equipment is maintained in good working order (i.e. sweeping floors and tabletops after utilizing table saw, replenishing glue and fiberboard for industrial carton machine, etc.)
