Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

The Machine Assisted Analysis Rapid-repository System (MARS) Team Lead will Lead the overall effort – strategy, engineering, operations – to move MARS from “a disparate set of technologies that are being developed in real time exclusive of each other” to a modern global data and analytics capability built on a modern componentized architecture. Collaborate with all MARS stakeholders, maintaining strategic understanding of stakeholder requirements. Collaborate with senior leaders to prioritize activities and allocate resources to accomplish MARS goals and objectives. Manage technical staff and technical resources to priority needs. Lead professional development and work culture for high performing teams.

This role requires broad knowledge of the technical and intelligence domain within the MARS portfolio of capabilities to include experience with complex solution development and implementation, consulting and process improvement to provide forward leaning change through the application of cutting edge solutions.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, collecting, assessing client service needs, and decomposing functional requirements into technical requirements for application enhancements/development.
  • Align capability/tool requirements into product and product component supporting MVP and other milestones.
  • Lead and collaborate with technical team on technical system requirements and derived requirements that support design and development activities (e.g., new system, C2S, etc.) aligned to capability delivery.
  • Coordinate and establish streamlined processes to control and track changes to system requirements.
  • Manage the requirement baseline allocated to projects including any approved changes to include attending and maintaining application change traceability for review board.
  • Develop capability management solutions for tracking applications risk and complexity.
  • Conduct capability review with stakeholders to ensure capability alignment with mission requirements.
  • Document and prioritize user stories to support development priorities when using the Agile development model.
  • Create and update individual product backlogs resulting from stakeholder collaboration.

Required Experience / Certifications:

  • Working knowledge of advanced data analytic techniques using AI/ML
  • Experience in AWS, Azure or other Cloud Service provider.
  • Experience working in an R&D or advance technologies 
  • Experience working with the intelligence community mission

Desirable Experience / Certification:

  • Cloud Computing certification
  • Machine learning certification or comparable

Security Clearance:

  • TS/SCI required
  • Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph
