Job Description


Ensure all non-medical equipment, including vehicles, ASIOE, material handling equipment, heating and air conditioning equipment, dolly sets, power generation, and environmental control units are maintained, serviced on-schedule and repaired in a timely manner; and that associated maintenance reports are completed in accordance with PWS, CMDP and associated regulations. Monitor Preventive Maintenance Checks & Services (PMCS), AOAP, fuel logs, equipment services, ensure maintenance records are accurately entered in GCSS-Army, Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) or other required databases.

  1. Leads and coordinates the day-to-day workflow of subordinate production workers and mechanics. 
  2. Assigns employees tasks to maximize productivity, minimize costs, and maintain quality.
  3. Provides guidance and training to subordinate staff. Responsible for more technical repair and maintenance of site-assigned (non-medical) vehicles and equipment.
  4. Reviews scheduled service schedules ana maintenance requirements with other site leads and managers to ensure equipment is available for scheduled training events; re-schedules services as required to maximize availability of equipment for training events.
  5. Ensures that monthly scheduled services are conducted properly and completed/closed-out by end-of-month IAW PWS requirements.
  6. Reviews and compiles operations records, such as floor inspection reports and tool, equipment and supply usage, and safety reports.
  7. Troubleshoots, orders parts, and repairs difficult mechanical problems.
  8. Ability to perform general automotive maintenance and repair tasks.
  9. May require specific certifications, depending on job assignment.
  10. Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment.
  11. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  12. Performs advanced production tasks as needed.

1. Requires a High School Diploma or GED.


2. Associates Degree preferred, in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, factory-sponsored training or work experience. 1-3 years of related automotive maintenance and repair experience.

8-10 years of related experience in mechanical production, assembly or construction.

Two years supervisory experience with one year in a unit-level operation. Two years' experience in the Armed Services as a heavy wheeled vehicle, power generation, or refrigeration mechanic, with two of those years within unit-level operations or equivalent civilian background.


Unique/Additional Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license/CDL. Effective communications skills.  Computer literate with current Microsoft Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Systems and possess a working knowledge of current Army automated supply systems.
