JOB DESCRIPTION

GDIT is seeking energetic and reliable professionals to join the GDIT/ARMA-GLOBAL Mobile Device Management and Mobile Content Management systems project team to provide new product Administration support and Engineering as required.  The selected candidate will work closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals in supporting customer mission objectives. You'll be responsible for working with coworkers, partners, stakeholders and customer representatives to create effective solutions, providing support to organizational Development & Engineering projects to deliver next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities, culminating in the delivery of unparalleled services that enhance customer mission effectiveness.  This is a critical role on the project team designing, engineering and integrating internally engineered and commercially available projects into cloud-based architectures in support of mobile device management and mobile content management services.  Once products are delivered you will provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 Operations and Maintenance services until such time product sustainment is migrated to an alternate supporting entity. 

Due to current COVID-19 crisis this position will start as a telework position.  Once cleared to return to work, this position will require an onsite presence. 

Candidate must have reliable internet services and quiet work space to ensure work actions can be performed. In the event of an ISP service outage, candidate must seek alternate methods of ensuring commercial ISP access

In this role, you are critical to executing solutions in support of customer outcomes. Specifically, you'll be keeping up-to-date with the latest innovations in technology – from new technology platforms, software and services to cutting edge tools that allow customers and teams to capitalize on efficiencies and deliver cost saving solution

Functional duties include:

  • Assisting in the deconstruction and interpretation of requirements supporting team projects
  • Engaging with stakeholders and supporting teams, and ensuring customer expectations, satisfaction, risks and cost is managed appropriately as it relates to your activities
  • Working to enhance team effectiveness by fostering a culture of unparalleled technical acumen in order to achieve maximum effectiveness in delivering services and solutions IAW the customer and end-user requirements
  • Advocating for and articulating Development, Integration, Testing and product sustainment activities, contributing to processes and outcomes that enhance productivity, reduce cost while providing for evolutionary change to legacy service delivery models with sole purpose of increasing warfighter service availability, resilience, effectiveness and readiness
  • Adhering to standards, policies, protocols, procedures and best practices that truly embody a “Best of Breed” Development & Engineer services delivery team
  • Participating in architectural and design discussions as they pertain to Future State, Concepts, and planned or active Development & Engineering projects

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Requires a highly experienced and working knowledge of MDM and MCM system and services (AirWatch/WorkSpace-One and Plone preferred)
  • Verifiable experience with RedHat OS in On-premise and cloud enclaves.  (AWS preferred)
  • Proven experience with automation tools:  Ancible, PowerShell and Bash scripting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IT Development, Engineering, Integration & Testing processes
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to articulate technical guidance and leadership at every opportunity to ensure program success
  • Ability to interpret specifications, troubleshoot and create resilient, reliable, cost-effective solutions that drastically enable end user outcomes to be realized
  • Strong understanding of DoD Cyber Security standards including STIGs
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator or Network Administration experience a plus
  • Android and iOS device experience highly desired
  • Scripting experience to automate repetitive tasks required
  • Vast experience with Active Directory, Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Proxies, Wireless Services

Certification Requirements

  • DoD 8570 IAT-2 or higher (Sec+ CE or higher) compliance required
  • Must possess an OS Level Certificate within 6 months of hire
  • Certifications related to AWS, MS Azure, Red Hat Linux are highly desired
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation certification a plus

Qualifications

  • Must have a BS degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience and training
  • Minimum 8 years related IT systems experience/exposure
  • Must pass a background check prior to hiring
  • Be able performed work in both a remote setting and in an office environment
  • Must work well with others and demonstrate consistent focus on Team and Customer Success
  • Must have an active security clearance
  • Must have personal PC or Laptop and a Headset w/microphone

Security Requirements

  • Must have a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI (TS/SCI)
