Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations and Maintenance of Communications Systems

Installs communications systems in accordance with the respective installation spec

Troubleshooting and support

End-user support and training

Administers network security

Must Have a Active secret Clearance 

Backs up file server data/disks

Provides complex server maintenance

May provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians

Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned

Participates in special projects as required

Focused on identifying customer needs and maintaining customer satisfaction

Must Have a Active secret Clearance 

Education, Experience, and Clearance Requirements:

DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification and Secret Security Clearance

Associate’s Degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent certification/experience

3-5 years of directly related experience supporting network operations

Aptitude Focus:

Functional knowledge of routers, switches, and related network hardware and software

Functional knowledge of the principles and techniques used in network operations

Functional knowledge of desktop operating systems and applications

Functional knowledge of cyber security

Working Conditions:

The work is typically performed in an office environment and at the client site location in Rome, New York.  Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.  The primary workspace is a 24/7/365.25 network operations center.
