You will work closely with the management team, technical leads, product owners and government stakeholders to ensure everything your teams produce provide value to the government. You will be expected to innovate and contribute new ideas, maintain the highest level of quality and increase team velocity by predicting potential issues and solving unpredictable issues.  You will be responsible for leading multiple technical teams with the responsibility of fulfilling large classified and unclassified mission needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Computer Science or IT related discipline
  •  20+ years of relevant experience.
  • 8+ years of management experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading various teams in a scaled agile environment utilizing a modern DevOps software development pipeline to deliver value to the customer with parallel work streams and high quality
  • Self-managed, strong self-organization skills, and eager to contribute
  • Eager to explore new technologies, and develop new skills to advance your team
  • Challenges the status quo, hungry to explore, evaluate, and understand new technologies, and wish to share insights and mentor your team
  • Experience working with federal government clients, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Assists in identifying the needs of internal and external customers and address their concerns
  • Performs duties with opportunity to exercise initiative, independent judgement and discretion under minimal supervision.
  • Provides management oversight:
    • Ensure teams are working closely and collaborating to create the highest quality products for the government customer
    • Communicate daily regarding progress with team members
    • Recruits and develops the technical talent required to support a complex enterprise infrastructure environment in support of the mission.
    • Proactively work with program management team to ensure that appropriate staffing resources are assigned, put in place, and effectively utilized at the appropriate time.
    • Oversees the design and implementation of new development and enhancement efforts, and coordinate systems installation and software testing with other IT professionals.
    • Responsible for the overall technical implementation of applications and frequently interact with internal and external business contacts.
    • Responsible for the technical integrity while providing technical guidance to clients and department staff
    • Provides technical oversight:
      • Functions as a technical expert who provides management and leadership in the design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services within a technical environment
      • Perform evaluations and feasibility reviews of creative concepts and technology solutions.
      • Act as a point of technical escalation and resolution during the project lifecycle as it relates to technical decisions
      • Determine and provide a necessary level of technical documentation during requirements gathering, based on technical services group standards and procedures and discussions with project staff, industry experience, and technical vendors.
      • Peer reviews technical documentation to ensure high quality and accuracy
      • Provide technical consultancy to department staff and participate in business development efforts including proposals, development plans, and presentations, as directed.
      • Ensures an intentional design is implemented which supports development, delivery and deployment of capabilities into operations on multiple environments
      • Ensures rapid delivery of capabilities
      • Ensures technical debt is managed
  • Engages in concept planning:
    • Provide input into the design, re-design and development of technology products and applications.
    • Assist with designing and evaluating new features and capabilities
  • Experience with AWS services
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly
