Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage Microsoft (Windows 10, Server 2016) Active Directory services in a VMWare ESXi virtual environment (VMWare 6.x and VMWare Horizon 6.x): Domain Controller (DC), Distributed File Sever (DFS), Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), ADFS (Active Directory Federation Services), ADCS (Active Directory Certificate Services), Group Policy, Microsoft System Center Suite, Active Directory Forest and Domain topologies, Exchange, KMS (Key Management Services), WDS (Windows Deployment Services), BranchCache, and Internet Information Service (IIS).
  • Configure and troubleshoot services such as:  DNS (Domain Name Services), DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), file, and print services.
  • Implement Windows-based Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) multi-factor authentication in DoDIN-connected and disconnected environments for both server-side and user-facing security; knowledge of SSL certificate configuration and OpenSSL, build of certificate authority and revocation servers, generation of certificate requests, installing and troubleshooting issued certificates, provisioning PKI smart cards for logins.
  • Deploy and configure Microsoft operating systems, services, and applications using DISA STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) checklists and maintain in accordance with security and documentation requirements of the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Use PowerShell to conduct administration and scripting tasks.
  • Write technical documentation of implementations and troubleshooting results.
  • Occasionally travel in support of network and assessment events.

Other Desired Experience:

  • Experience deploying and configuring XMPP chat server and clients (OpenFire, Jabber, etc.).
  • Experience in virtualization (VMware 6.x) and Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) (VMWare Horizon 6.x).
  • Knowledge of networking technologies including VLAN and routing protocols.
  • Experience with DoD cyber operations (USCYBERCOM, Navy Fleet Cyber, etc.).
  • Technical certifications desired, such as Microsoft, PowerShell, or related.
